Are wallets the best way to carry money?

I have a really small wallet but still I find it annoying to carry around in my pocket. It is cumbersome and I often have to wriggle around to get it out.

I want to know if there are any more effective ways of carrying around money and cards. Something smaller would be really handy. Perhaps a money clip would be good but then again, that doesn’t carry cards.

I’ll keep a look out for solutions.
