Do you book in advance before travelling?

One of the things that I hate about going on holidays is not knowing what the hotel is going to be like. Some destinations are also extremely hard to find beds. Which is why I prefer to research online and book before we go on holidays. I like to know that I am going to be staying in a nice hotel, and that I am going to definitely not have to run around town trying to find a bed when we get there.

One of the sites I use when traveling to Europe is this one. They always seem to have accurate pictures of the rooms, and they also have a lot of good deals. Which really appeals to my frugal nature.

Mostly our family settles for 3-4 star accommodation, which is one of the filters you can use to search for rooms (defined by star rating), because we do not want the kids to de-value money. But, sometimes we give the kids the chance to live it up in luxary in a 5 star hotel for a few nights. Especially if we have been traveling for a few days by train or bus. All the options are covered by these guys.

Anyway, I use them, and recommend them. A good site to add to your bookmarks.
