Giant Football Ice Fans

At the football a few weeks ago I saw these giant fans that blew a cool ice cloud all over the players at half time. It didn’t look like there was a bucket of water under the fan, the jets of steam seemed to come from within the fan itself.

The giant thing was about three meters high and blew cool air out for about 10 meters. It seemed like a big advantage for all the home team as they went back on the field much cooler on that hot game day. I wonder what it is. I’d love to know more about it.
