Motorola Slvr L7c Review
Feb 06 2007
Again with the Motorola! This new Motorola Slvr L7c has some pretty slick features as well as those cool buttons that every Motorola has. I’m pretty sure thats why people buy them!
Features of the Motorola Slvr L7c
This phone got a little bit of criticism as it isn’t as slick as the RAZR which came out before it. The clam shell design of the RAZR was pretty sharp and hard to beat but this new one makes up for the lack of sexiness with some other features and as such has still been pretty popular with the cool kids.
What everyone is saying about the Slvr is that it is small without being a flip top clam shell phone. I never realized but many people HATE the flip phones and if you are one of those weirdos then this phone is probably the one for you.
I have to admit, many Motorolas that I have used have been a little bit clumsy and hard to use - it seems that you have to press buttons two or three times more on a Moto than you do on a Nokia or a LG but that might just be because I use Nokias.
Over at C NET Reviews they write more on the features:
Though the Slvr L7c looks very much like the Slvr L7, it does have some significant design differences. Most importantly, the display has a lower color resolution, with support for 65,000 hues instead of 262,000. Though there’s an identical discrepancy between the GSM and CDMA models of the Krzr, the change is annoying. We just don’t see why you have to shift to a less vivid display when you change transmission technologies. On the upside, the 1.9-inch screen is quite large for the phone’s size. You can alter the backlighting time, and while the font size isn’t changeable, it should be fine for most users. The menus reflect the simplified design that’s beginning to show up on most Sprint phones. Splashed with lots of yellow, the interface is simple and easy to use and is a big improvement over Moto’s clunky system. The display is difficult to see in direct light and disappears completely when the backlighting is off.
I wouldn’t rate this phone as highly as the RAZR simply because I don’t think it looks as good. However, the features are pretty good.
