Online Dating, Times are different..

Life is very different now. Sometimes I wonder how anyone even finds time anymore to meet people, and to date. We are all busy. We live in a face paced world like nothing that has ever come before. Times have certainly changed!

One of the coolest things about the internet, I think, aside from the ecommerce, open markets, and access to the world’s wisdom on any topic, is that it connects people. People are using the internet to form friendships, reach out to distant (and near) family, and they are also using it in unprecedented numbers to find love.

Online dating may have once carried a bit of a stigma around it.. something like a sense that you had to be desperate to use a “dating service”. But, that is so 1998.

Now, it is common place for people of all types of backgrounds, geographic locations and nationalities to use online dating sites like FriendFinder to meet people and make lasting friendships. Not everyone you go out on a date with ends up being your soul mate, after all. And because people have a much more relaxed and open attitude to online dating these days, it is easy to make friends with people you meet, even if they are not your “perfect” match.
