Now, this site is about Funky Gadgets and this is one of the funkiest online services I have seen in a long time. When I first saw their site I straight away thought about how many people this could help.

I’m excited.

Recently my brother has been getting his car vandalized every Thursday night. These young kids come out of the local pub and walk past and scratch it, let the tires down or, like the did this week, smash the windows. The cops did nothing about it so we had to take matters into our own hands. No, we didn’t wait for them with baseball bats, we set up a security camera system on the edge of our house. And I am pleased to announce we have a nice photo of the kids to pass onto the police.

What does it do?
However, I wish I knew about this home camera service as they provide a much better and cheaper (free!) alternative. The website is set up so you can turn your webcam into a home security camera which allows you to monitor what is going on in other rooms of the house or outside your house in the street. It would be great for parents who need to leave their children at home alone sometimes. You could set it up so it sees who is at the front door. If the kids don’t know them then they are not allowed to open it up.

How does it work?
All you have to do is sign up for a free account and follow their instructions. This will lead you to set up your home security camera using your webcam and record and view the images through their website. You can also access it via mobile phone which is one of the coolest features about this site which is not offerred by many of their competitors. They also have 24 hours a day phone assistance if you get stuck.

Conclusion
This is the premier home camera system on the internet. I have done a lot of research and am yet to find one as easy to use with as many features. Watching your home from your mobile is something I know is going to appeal to many readers.
