Review of DiscountSafetyGear.com

I was having a look at discountsafetygear.com today to see what their new site looks like. I have some friends who are trades people and I always brag to them that you can get EVERYTHING cheaper online. So they set me a bit of a challenge to find things like Hard Hats and Safety Goggles. So, that is how come I found myself looking over discountsafetygear.com.

At first glance, I really liked the design of the site, it kind of has that blog feel about it, with lots of nice space on the left and right of the main part of the page. I especially like the riveted header design, very tough!

The menu system in the left hand side bar works well, and I was able to navigate around the site with relative ease. And comfortably found some of the trickier items I was looking for, like First Aid Kits.

One thing that put me off a little was the way some of the information was written, I know I am probably just being a bit of a wordsmith snob because I work full-time in blogging and copywriting, but, some sections just put me off a little, when I think they could be really positive sections that build me feeling of loyalty to the site and get me ready to spend my hard earned. For example. This about page tells me very little, and is under utilized.

But, overall I give the site a 7 out of 10, because at the end of the day it has great gear at great prices. And that counts for a lot.
